Several Clouded Yellow (Colias croceus) butterflies flying on the bank along the North edge of the enclosed area in warm sunshine.

Some Migrant Hawker and lots of Common Darter were still flying this sunny morning, as well as one rather unusual and one rather late butterfly

False Widow Spider
My daughter found one of those False Widow Spiders in our bathroom yesterday. These are the ones that some of the Tabloids have been getting so hysterical about though apparently whilst they do bite when provoked, it's no worse than a bee sting
